LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30, 1984) is an American professional player of basketball who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Also known as King James he is widely considered one of the greatest players of all time and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over who is the greatest basketball player. James had two Olympic golds and four NBA titles. James has scored more points in the playoffs. He has the second-most career points and has the seventh-highest number of career assists. James has been named by the NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times. He has also been selected to the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. In total, he has been a part of 10 NBA Finals. This is the third-most of all time. Eight were consecutive between 2011-2018. In 2021, James was picked to join be part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 became the only to be the first player from NBA history to score at least 10,000 career points as well as assists. James was an athlete at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, in Akron Ohio. He received lots of attention from the media about his potential NBA fame. James was selected by Cleveland Cavaliers as the top selection of the NBA draft in 2003. Following his selection as 2004's NBA Rookie Of The Year, he quickly became a top player in the NBA and was awarded the NBA MVP Award in 2009 and 2010. James, who failed to take home the title in Cleveland in 2010, left as free agents and signed with in the Miami Heat. This was disclosed as part of The Decision. It is one of the most controversial choices made by a sports free agent throughout history.
