In May 2012, Garena began its Garena Premier League (GPL) that is a 6-month online professional gaming league that has more than 100 games scheduled being played. The initial season of GPL will be an League of Legends competition which includes six professional teams. Each team is comprised of the best players in their respective countries. GPL games are recorded, and broadcast live on-line with commentary. These games are made available to viewers on the GPL's official website. Garena Premier League 2013, started on the 4th of January 2013, will include two new teams. One each made up of Taiwan as well as Vietnam. It brings the number of teams up to eight. The teams are: AHQ, Saigon Fantastic Five, Bangkok Titans, Kuala Lumpur Hunters, Manila Eagles, Saigon Jokers, Taipei Assassins and Singapore Sentinels. Garena's ESports Stadium, which is a venue that is dedicated to esports within the Neihu District Taipei, opened on the 14th of November, 2014. The facility was constructed to facilitate the launch of the League of Legends Masters Series which is the highest-level Taiwan, Hong Kong, as well as the Macau LoL league which was a spin-off of the GPL. In January of 2015, Garena launched Iron Solari League, a women's League of Legends tournament in the Philippines. It is a bi-monthly tournament which is held in the second half of every month. It is designed to boost participation among the people who aren't represented, and is accessible to all who identify as a woman. Garena hosts offline events for users who want to get connected and have a chat. Garena hosts the Garena Festival which is held in Singapore, Malaysia and other countries. Gerina Gerina Gerina
