
Rachel Keller is a fictional character in The Ring film series. The fictional character of Rachel Keller was invented by Ehren Kruger. Naomi Watts plays the role. Rachel must look into the death of Samara Morgan, her son, in The Ring Two. Ruth Rachel's sister is adamant Rachel to inquire into the mysterious reasons behind Katie's sudden demise. Rachel reveals to Rachel that she found the body of her daughter's deformed corpse in the closet and the official cause of her death was a heart attack, even though Katie being an incredibly healthy teenager. Katie's friends tell Rachel the tale of the cursed videotape legend and Katie's friend Becca is in a mental institution for watching Katie pass away. Katie's boyfriend and two of her closest acquaintances, also passed away in mysterious accidents that happened on the same night at 10:30 PM. Rachel travels from Shelter Mountain Inn to Cabin 12 where Katie and her friends looked at the videotape that was cursed. Rachel is able to locate the tape, and then watches it and then her phone rings. Rachel hears a voice utter "seven days". Rachel is seeking help from her ex-boyfriend Noah Clay, a video analyst. Rachel learns later that Aidan (her son who is with Noah) was watching the tape, and told her that he believed her. Rachel investigates the tape for the lighthouse, and discovers that it's located on Moesko Island. This was the residence of Anna Morgan, an evil horse breeder cursed to be on the tape with the cursed name. Rachel finds out that Anna was the mother of an adoptive daughter, Samara. She was capable of creating disturbing images that were able to be projected into the minds of animals, humans, and objects. Rachel has to go to Anna's widower Richard when she starts asking questions regarding Samara.
